Opening Fall of 2017 is a new World-Class soccer training facility on 42 acres in Herriman. The soccer stadium worth $50 million is anticipated to break ground any day now. The complex will be located approximately 20 minutes west of Real’s Rio Tinto Stadium. Patron’s training at the facility are Major League Soccer’s Real Salt Lake, United Soccer Leagues’s Real Monarchs, and extensions of the club’s Arizon-based U-18 and U-16 USSFDA Academy setups. It’s possible to one day add an RSL women’s pro team and other youth development soccer groups.
Another exciting addition in Herriman is what is being hailed as the “Harvard of Soccer” charter school. It will hose 250 students focusing on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education. About 1/3 of these students will come from out of state.
The Facility is anticipated to open August 2017. For more information visit RSL New Release
