
Statistics from the Salt Lake Board of Realtors show that the majority of homes sold in Salt Lake County have sold for less than $350,000. Housing prices have soared over 29% over the last decade. That’s a record breaking market even after adjusting for inflation. Between April and June of this year over half of all single family detached homes sold in Salt Lake County were sold for less than $350,000. Buyer’s are snatching homes up in this price range so fast that inventory levels remain low. Sales ranging from $350,00 to $499,999 came in second for having twenty-eight percent of all sales. Finally 1.3 percent of sales in Salt Lake County closed at $1 million or more.
